Migraines – our ways

Migraine, which is more common in women, affects quality of life, causing severe headaches. Its causes can include stress, weather changes or diet. At Revita Clinic, we use a holistic approach, combining individual nutritional plans, supplementation and therapies such as normobaric and ONDAMED treatments, which effectively relieve migraine symptoms.

Migraine is a condition that affects 9 to 18% of the world’s population, and more often affects women than men. Through the symptoms it causes, it negatively affects the comfort and quality of life of patients. Medical literature describes the tendency to migraines as an individual feature, which consists in the hypersensitivity of the autonomic nervous system. Additionally, factors such as: a large dose of stress, severe fatigue, weather changes, poor diet quality and sleep deprivation can affect the frequency of migraines.

Symptoms occurring during migraine pain

  • Panic, throbbing headaches (most often occurring on one side of the head)
  • Nausea and vomiting may occur
  • Sensitivity to light and sounds
  • Numbness of the face and limbs may occur
  • Dizziness

Basic dietary recommendations that may reduce the frequency/severity of migraines

  • Products with a low glycemic index may reduce the frequency of migraines
  • Avoid fasting and longer breaks between meals due to the risk of severe headaches
  • Meals should be varied, based on a wide range of food products
  • It is worth giving up highly processed foods
  • It is worth eliminating simple sugars from your daily diet
  • It is important to remember to regularly hydrate your body. Dehydration can cause headaches.

Supplementation is beneficial for people with frequent migraines:

  • Omega-3 DHA and EPA acids can help reduce the frequency of migraines. In addition, they can reduce the level of pain occurring
  • Magnesium can alleviate the intensity of migraines
  • Coenzyme Q10 can have a beneficial effect on shortening the duration and frequency of migraines
  • Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid (due to the possibility of high homocysteine in people suffering from migraines)
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E (in the case of women suffering from migraines during menstruation)

What are the ways to stop migraines in the REVITA clinic, among our patients?

At the Revita clinic, we take care of health in a holistic way, which is why we combine many therapies at the same time for more effective effect and patient satisfaction. In the care of people struggling with migraines, we have developed a treatment plan that complements individual therapy.

The impact of ONDAMED treatments on the treatment of migraines

A standard visit based on the use of programs that the patient’s body has indicated to us (through the occurring disorders at certain levels, to check this, a scan of the whole body is performed) is supplemented with two very important programs. One of them is a program called “psychoautonomous nervous system”, it causes the body’s reaction to stress factors to stop. The second program activates the lymphatic system, because one of the theories says that migraines are also the accumulation of lymph in large intracranial lymph vessels. Our master of physiotherapy Jacek Bieloński, has been working on the ONDAMED medical device for many years. Thanks to his extensive knowledge, commitment and practice, the therapies bring positive results. It takes only 5-10 treatments for the migraines to stop completely. Recently, several patients who have been struggling with migraines for a long time have come to our clinic. Among them was a patient who had been struggling with constant headaches for 3 weeks, interspersed with 1-2 day migraine attacks. After one ONDAMED treatment, the problem was resolved. We also refer you to the recorded report of our patient, who decided to share her feelings after using our therapies.
