Chronic sinusitis is a common problem for our patients
The introduction of a therapeutic diet led to a significant alleviation of the symptoms. The diet in chronic sinuses is based on the elimination of dairy products, because very often in people with these ailments, dairy products do not digest well, causing excessive production of mucus in the sinuses. Excess wheat has similar properties, especially its protein gliadin, which, if not digested, also stimulates the excessive production of mucus in the sinuses. Excess yeast, bread, wine, beer, nuts, products with mold, e.g. ripened cheese, add oil to the fire. On the one hand, an elimination diet that excludes the above-mentioned products, and on the other hand, the introduction of anti-inflammatory and intestinal cleansing nutrients has proven to be an effective method of supporting the treatment of chronic sinuses.
